| Enabling police agencies to share information in real time. The CrimeConnectTM Tactical Crime Information System permits any number of police agencies to very easily and securely, search, share and update tactical crime information online. This includes: wanteds, bulletins, sex offender notifications, stolen vehicles, briefings, mapping, events and missing persons. When logged into CrimeConnect, all users can search a central database within a deployment area where the data is stored. Users are provided with administrative rights to edit only their portion of the database, simultaneously displaying it at all participating jurisdictions. At CrimeConnect’s core is the Central Administration System that facilitates simple updates to the database, allowing non-technical staff to update all areas of the system, quickly and easily. A series of preset templates filters the information stored in the database, displaying it for different audiences – law enforcement, press/media and the general public. Information delivery is handled via a secure Intranet connection. Agencies easily select which information they wish to distribute/display to specific audiences, and, particularly, to other agencies on the network. CrimeConnect incorporates display mechanisms that allow agencies to use it as a component of their staff briefings.
